JAMMU, Jan 25: A general body meeting of Martand Tirath Trust was held here, today under the leadership of its president A K Sidha.
The meeting finalized arrangements for the celebration of Surya Saptami the birthday of Isht Dev (presiding deity) Lord Martand that falls on January 28. The meeting said religious functions as usual will be held at both shrines of Martand (Mattan ) in Kashmir Valley and Surya Bhawan, Paloura Jammu.
It said at Paloura Jammu a Maha Yagya will be performed which will start on January 27 with Kalash Pooja and culminate in the afternoon of January 28 with Puranahuti. Mahant Swami Rudra Nath from Rajasthan will grace the religious function.
