UDHAMPUR, Apr 20: The birth anniversary of Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan was celebrated with devotion and patriotic fervor by Martyr Tushar Mahajan Memorial Trust on Thursday.
On the occasion, heartfelt tributes were paid to the martyr who sacrificed his life for the motherland. A function was held at Government College for Women Jammu in which Cadets of 2 J&K Girls Battalion NCC threw light on life of the martyr and his sacrifice for the nation. Cadets also presented patriotic songs in his memory.
Professor Suman of the college, Chairman of Tushar Memorial Trust, Professor Dev Raj Gupta along with the Trust members Vikas Manhas and Shewatketu Singh and large number of college students were present on the occasion.
Earlier a wreath laying ceremony was held at the statue of the Martyr at Tushar Morh Udhampur where trust members and large number of people paid rich floral tribute to brave heart. Candles were lit up in the evening and a cake was also cut by the Trust.
