Martyr cremated with full military honours

MORENA, MP, Aug 14:
The last rites of Naik Subedar Jagram Singh Tomar  who was martyred in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch Sector on Saturday evening  was performed with full military honours at his native village Tarsama in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district today.
His son Neeraj lit the funeral pyre.
Health Minister Rustam Singh was present during the cremation besides district and police authorities.
Earlier, the body of Tomar was brought in a special Army aircraft to Gwalior yesterday.
The body was conveyed to Tarsama village today.  The Nb Sub  who was posted in the Poonch Sector since the past 18 months  is survived by wife, two daughters and a son.
His two brothers are also serving in the Army. Collector Bhaskar Lakshakar announced an ex-gratia of Rs 1-crore for the kin, Government job to a family member and a house in the town.  (UNI)
