KARGIL, Dec 6: The martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), was observed with profound devotion and religious fervor in Kargil. Thousands of mourners braved the harsh winter cold to participate in mourning processions organized across the region.

The processions, organized by Jamiat Ul Ulama Isna Asharia Kargil Ladakh and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Kargil, began from various points and culminated at Qatilgah-e-Husani and Hussaini Park. Mourners expressed their grief by beating their chests and reciting lamentations, reflecting the deep sorrow for the revered figure. Religious scholars delivered sermons highlighting the philosophy and significance of Hazrat Fatima’s martyrdom.
Similar processions were also carried out in Drass, Sankoo and Tai Suru, underscoring the wide-scale observance of this solemn occasion.
Hazrat Fatima (SA), born in Mecca on 20th Jumadi al-Thani, 18 BH, holds a central place in Islamic history as an epitome of virtue, sacrifice, and devotion.
The district administration ensured comprehensive arrangements for the smooth conduct of the processions, including security and logistical support, allowing mourners to pay homage in peace.
The event highlighted the spiritual unity and enduring respect for Hazrat Fatima (SA) among the people of Kargil.
