POONCH, June 18: Major Rohit Sharma Memorial Society (NGO) celebrated annual Martyrs Day at Mandi and remembered the sacrifices of those who laid their lives for nation.
The programme was held in the auditorium of BSF at Mandi town during which beside locals, many prominent people from UP, Gujarat, West Bengal also participated. Cultural programme was presented and flowers were laid on the portrait of martyrs who laid their lives for the sake of the nation.
Chairman of the NGO Ali Mohd said that we observe this event annually and ensure the participation of retired Army officers and other prominent people here so that the jawans who have sacrificed their lives for nation can be remembered annually as because of them we are living peaceful lives today.
