Mashaal rally in memory of Kokernag martyrs organized

RAJOURI, Sep 17: A massive torch rally was taken out in Rajouri to pay homage to the three officers, two Indian Army officers and one Deputy SP of Jammu and Kashmir Police, who laid down their lives in the anti-terrorist operation in Kokernag forests of Anantnag.
In this torch rally, where on one side leaders from different religions and different political parties were seen on a stage, on the other side, children of Gujjar Bakarwals Hostel Rajouri and children of Pahari Hostel were also seen paying tribute to the martyrs with Tricolor in their hands.
From the DC office, the torch rally carrying photographs of martyred officers in their hands reached the Martyrdom Memorial at Gujjar Mandi Chowk, Rajouri. At the Martyrdom Memorial, floral tributes were paid to the martyred military and police officers by garlanding their statues and a message was given to fight unitedly against terrorism.
On the occasion, a special prayer was made for the peace to the souls of the martyrs. People kept two minutes silence and also prayed for giving strength to the families of the martyrs to bear this irreparable loss. People from different religions and castes who came together on one stage gave a befitting reply to terrorism.
They said this is not the time when people used to support terrorists out of fear or for any other reason. “Now people are walking shoulder to shoulder with the security forces to give a befitting reply to terrorism and the day is not far when terrorism will be uprooted,” they added.
