POONCH, Feb 19: A `Mashal’ rally was taken out by the people of the city in support of their demand of sanctioning a Medical College in the area here this evening.
A large number of people, irrespective of their party affiliation, came out on the roads and took out a large torch light procession. They were shouting slogans in support of their demand. They said that like Doda, Kathua, Anantnag and Baramulla, another Medical College be sanctioned for Poonch. They also warned to intensify agitation.
Even last evening, BJP and BJYM activists took out similar procession with the same demand in the city.
