JAMMU, Oct 31: A mason died this evening due to electrocution in Channi area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the mason identified as Ram Kishore (35) son of Ram Brij, a resident of UP (at present Channi) inadvertently came in contact with a live wire while operating marble cutter machine at a house in Sector No 3, Channi, where he was laying marble tiles.
He said that the man died on the spot and his body was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where post mortem of the body will be conducted tomorrow.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Channi Himmat and further investigations were underway.
