Cong gears up for ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’

JAMMU, Nov 11: The Congress party today geared up for upcoming Jan Jagran Programme in five blocks of Jammu West constituency, a nationwide mass-awareness programme.
The meetings were chaired by former Minister Yogesh Sawhney, general secretary PCC and presided over by former minister Raman Bhalla, vice president PCC. The meeting was firstly held at Resham Garh for Block 2 Bakshi Nagar and Block 5 Talab Tillo; the meeting for Block 4, Block 1 Rehari and Block 3 Subhash Nagar, was organised by Block president Vijay Sharma and held at Sarwal, followed by others.
Raman Bhalla while speaking on the occasion claimed that the people of J&K were fed up with the “bluffs and failures” of the BJP Govt and suffering on all counts. He alleged that the BJP had gained power after “betrayal of the mandate” and its experiments cost too much to the people of J&K who lost their identity as a state besides all safeguards to their land and jobs.
“The people will not spare BJP for its total failure and arbitrary and undemocratic decisions besides imposing heavy taxes, price hike and economic crisis,” Bhalla alleged.
Sawhney asked block presidents and others to prepare for `Jan Jagran Abhiyan’. He said this is the program of the masses and should reach to each ward, lane, street of Jammu city to make people aware of the blunders of the BJP government. ‘Their anti-poor and anti-people policies are causing much harm to general public. The Congress party’s fight is against BJP government which ignored the wishes/ aspirations of the common man, he said
PCC vice president PCC Kanta Bhan, senior leaders Dr Ramakant Khajuria, Uttam Singh, Raj Bakshi, Vijay Malhotra, Naveen Bali, Balbir Thakyal and Vijay Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
