UDHAMPUR, Apr 25: Massive fire broke out in Gangera Udhampur and Langa Dhar forest area of Block Ghordi West, last night and engulfed a large area thus causing huge damage to the green gold.
Even as the Task Force men of Forest Department Udhampur rushed to the Gangera and initiated all possible efforts to control the dire situation, the blazes were still reported to be out of control.
With the active cooperation of locals, all efforts are being made to control the fire while Police and Forest Guards are on the job, said DFO Ramnagar, Kuldeep Kumar.
