JAMMU. Dec, 10: A massive demonstration was organized by the people from all walks of life here today against the atrocities on Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh.
Thousands of protestors belonging to each and every section of society participated in the demonstration. They included presidents of various fraternities, Sanatan Dharma Sabha (SDS), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal (BD), Sant Samaj, members of Civil Society, BJP MLAs, Sikh organizations, women, youth, and elderly persons. The demonstration was organized at JDA parking near the Main Bus Stand here, where the leaders of various organizations expressed their views, strongly condemned the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh and their religious places. They appealed the people to remain united.

The speaker strongly condemned the attacks on Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh and called upon the Hindu community to unite and protect their religion and culture. The speakers unanimously demanded the Central Government to put pressure on the Bangladesh Government to ensure the safety of Hindus and other minorities there.
The speaker said that this is the time to be aware and take steps in the interest of the society by uniting. During the demonstration, deep concern was expressed over the safety of Hindus, attacks on their religion, culture and traditions and emphasis was laid on finding a solution to it.
After the meeting, thousands of people collectively marched towards Dogra Chowk. The massive procession was attended by sizable number of women folk, elders and youth. They later held a peaceful protest at Dogra Chowk,.
The protesters with placards and banners in their hands raised slogans against the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and appealed to the United Nations to intervene and ensure safety of minorities in Bangladesh.
At the end of the protest, the delegation submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of India through the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu demanding Bangladesh Government to ensure the safety of the Hindu community.
The delegation through memorandum also appealed to the Indian Government and International Human Rights organizations to intervene in the matter and help the victimized Hindu community in Bangladesh.
The organizers said this demonstration gave a clear message of unity and awareness towards Hindutva in the society. They warned that such intolerance against the Hindus and other minorities can’t be tolerated any more now.
