KATHUA, Mar 9: Former MLA Bani, Master Lal Chand breathed his last at his residence Bani this morning after a prolonged illness. He was 65.
His cremation took place at Bani today. A large number of people drawn from all walks of life including MLA Bani, SDM Bani and former MLA Basholi, Jagdish Raj Sapolia attended his cremation.
Originally resident of Bhandar village in Bani Mr Chand was putting up at Bani for a very long time.
A teacher by profession Lal Singh joined politics in nineties. He was elected to State Assembly on BJP ticket for first time in 2008 elections. He contested last year’s Assembly elections as an independent candidate after BJP refused ticket to him.
