Mata Roopbhawani’s 400th birth anniversary celebrations conclude

JAMMU, June 24: In connection with celebration of 400th birth anniversary of Mata Shree Roopbhawani various functions were organised across J&K today by Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust (SAST) and other devotees of the Mata.
It was for the first time in the last 31 years that Hawans were performed simultaneously at all the Taposthals and temples of Mata Shree Roopbhawani at Janam Bhoomi, Dedmar, Manigam, Waskur, Laar, Cheshmasahibi and Tirath Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu by SAST. With today’s function the year long Prakash Utsav celebration of the Trust culminated. Different national and international organizations and NRIs participated in the year long celebrations. Mata’s Wakhs were in focus at all debates, symposia, lectures. Bajan Sandhya by eminent singers Dhananjay Sarswat Koul, Naina Saproo Trisal, Lovely Chandra,Dileep Langoo, Shanti Lal Sidh conducted by Kusum Tickoo enthralled the viewers.
Central University of Jammu and University of Jammu organized two different webinars chaired by Vice Chancellors of respective universities. Online painting competitions, essay competitions, debates and Geeta recitation competitions in praise of Mata Shree Roopbhawani who is considered the incarnation of Goddess Sharika were held. Prizes and participation certificates were issued to the participation children.
Mata Shree Roopbhawani being the only female saint of Kashmir, next to Shree Laleshiwari, a webinar was organised by Trust with 100 percent participation, anchoring, speakers of Females from all over the globe. This female devotee group was enthralled by the organizer connecting the millennial generation to the roots and rich heritage of Sanskrit culture of India.
The yearlong celebration concluded with recitation of Vedic mantras, Mata Shree Wakhs/ Rahasyopdesh at Tirath Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu where Ravi Dhar, Pradhan Sewak of the Trust released souvenir in digital format. He also released the Raag Alkhishwari conceived by Dhananjay Saraswat Kaul, the eminent classical Soofi vocalist.
The 400th birthday of Mata was also celebrated at Sanskriti Bhawan by Pt Radha Krishan Ganjoo Memorial Foundation Trust Roop Nagar. The function started with Shree Ganesh Puja followed by Brahma Yagya,  Dev Yagya and Puran Auhati was performed at 11–30 am.  Mata’s Puja was followed by Bhajans and musical function led by Shanti Lal Sidh and others.   The function was graced by religious scholars which included Dr Sushil Wattal and Kshema Koul who delivered a lecture on Mata Roopbhawani,. The concluding address was delivered by T K Ganjoo of Sanskriti Bhawan. The Prasad was served to all the Bakhts and other participants.
On this occasion photographs of Mata Roopbhawani were distributed among the people. The function was over by singing of Shanti Path.
Another function was held at Mata Roop Bhawani temple Sharda Colony Patoli Brahmna where Pooja Archana was performed by devotees led by Avtar Krishan Dhar. After pooja the devotees were served Prashad.
