KATRA, Oct 7: For the third consecutive day of the ongoing Navratras, helicopter service to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine from Katra base camp remained suspended due to inclement weather here.
According to an official, the chopper service remained suspended since October 5 due to dense fog and cloudy weather conditions prevailing all around in the Trikuta Hills.
The service will be resumed only after the weather conditions improve even as the Vaishno Devi pilgrims, especially the aged and handicapped are facing hardships due to suspended helicopter service, the official added.
Pertinent to mention that Katra town is witnessing unprecedented rush of pilgrims due to the ongoing holy Navratras.
