Mattoo for fast pacing mega developmental projects

JAMMU, Jan 2: While asking the officers to speed up the pace of work on various mega developmental projects being undertaken by the Government in various sectors, the Advisor to Chief Minister, Prof Amitabh Mattoo today said that they should be completed within the stipulated time frame and mechanism should be evolved for synergizing the efforts of various departments to ensure their early completion, so that the people of the State get benefitted from these.
The Advisor was reviewing the status of implementation of various mega developmental projects being undertaken in the State.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B.B Vyas and other senior officers.
Prof Mattoo said that the projects being undertaken by the Government in various sectors would ensure that the State comes up as one of the model States in the country replete with all the basic and modern facilities of urban living. He said that the officers should work in close coordination to remove the bottlenecks, if any so that they are completed in a time bound manner.
While reviewing the pace of work on the prestigious Shahpur Kandi project, it was decided that a meeting with all stakeholders would be taken to work out a comprehensive plan, so that it gets completed within the shortest possible time and the people living in Kathua district get the requisite irrigation and other related facilities.
It was also given out in a meeting that about 700 directions given by the Chief Minister have been uploaded online by the Chief Minister’s office through e-Simaksha programme, out of which 99 stand implemented and other are in various stages of implementation.
The Advisor directed for convening a meeting of all the Nodal Officers appointed under e-Simaksha so that these directions are implemented in a time bound manner and the people of the State get benefitted from these.
