MAU organizes conference on Human Rights & Good Governance

NEW DELHI, Dec 5: Maharaja Agrasen University (MAU) organized a National conference on Human Rights and Good Governance at School of Law.
Acharaya Devvrat, Governor of Himachal Pradesh, was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Nand Kishore Garg, Chancellor, MAU Maharaja Agrasen University presided over the function. Prof (Dr) SP Bansal, Vice-Chancellor, was also present.
About 50 delegates participated in the National Conference and presented research papers in the technical sessions of the Conference. All delegates praised infrastructure and other facilitates provided to the students and staff members.
On the occasion, the chief guest released the International Law Journal (Changing Dimensions of Legal Horizons and the 5th Volume of Newsletter Agrani Samkalp of Maharaja Agrasen University).
He also laid foundation stone of the proposed International Hostel and also planted trees on this occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that he is very much impressed with the ambitious value education being provided by MAU. He stressed upon the need to include our cultural values in the syllabus. While criticizing the commercialization of education, he praised MAU for providing education based upon Gurukul system.
Dr Nand Kishore Garg, Chancellor in his speech said that we need the laws to be molded as per the needs of the society and assured the students that the management of Maharaja Agrasen University will provide all possible help to them to emerge as global professionals.
Prof Bansal, Vice-Chancellor, in his address stressed upon direct linkage between the laws and human behavior. He also enumerated the important achievements made by University in a very short span.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by Jagdish Mittal, Vice-Chairman, MATES.
