Mayawati set to be elected unopposed as BSP’s national president

LUCKNOW, Aug 30: Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) supremo Mayawati is set to be elected again unopposed as the party’s national president here today.

The election of the president would be done by the members of the highest political body Central Election Committee(CEC) meeting here.Mayawati is the BSP president since 2003.   Ms Mayawati, talking to reporters here, said that after the election of the national president, the new president would review the political works of the other states and in four states of Maharastra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir where assembly elections are slated.

Tomorrow,the party will hold meeting of the leaders from all over the country where they will discuss the political situation after BJP came to power at the Centre besides growing communal violence in the country particularly in Uttar Pradesh. (UNI)
