JAMMU, Sept 11:- Under Jammu Smart City Project, Rajinder Sharma, Mayor Jammu has inaugurated the Sulabh Toilet Complex here at Hari Market today. The project cost of the toilet complex having four W.C’s and four Urinals is Rs. 17.85 lacs.
On this Occasion Gopal Gupta, Chairman, Swachh Bharat Committee Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), and Sandhya Gupta councillor, JMC W.No. 15 were also present there.
This Toilet Complex has been constructed under Jammu Smart City Ltd. and was handed over to Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). The Toilet Complex will be maintained by Sulabh International Social Service Organisation, J&K Branch on pay and use basis for 10 years.
On this occasion Sanjay Kumar Thakur Hony. Additional Controller Sulabh International Social Service Organisation J&K welcomed Mayor Rajinder Sharma and also highlighted sanitation activities being done by Sulabh International all over India.
Rajinder Sharma, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) who was the chief guest of the function appreciated the work done by Sulabh International Social Service Organisation throughout India regarding sanitation services. He said this was the long pending demand of the local people because there were no facilities of toilets and the people were forced to defecate in the open.
On this occasion, Saroj Kumar Jha Deputy Controller, SISSO J&K Branch, Executive Engineer, JMC, Technical Officer JMC, AEE JMC, Executive Engineer, Jammu Smart City, JE JSC, president, Market Association, Hari Market, Shopkeepers, senior leaders, media persons, police administration and Sulabh volunteers were present there. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks.
