Mayor, Kavinder kick start Tube Well construction at Channi Himmat

JAMMU, Mar 24: Continuing his endeavour to provide more and better development amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC along with Kavinder Gupta Ex. Deputy Chief Minister J&K, Raj Kumar, Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee, JMC today kick started the construction work of Tube Well at Green Belt Park in Sector 7 of Ward No. 50 Channi Himmat, near here.
Addressing to media persons, Mayor said that with the hectic efforts of both the Councilors of Ward No. 50 and 51, the work of first phase of this much needed project belonging to Jal Shakti Department has been started today.
He further said that the total cost of this prestigious project consisting of commissioning of three number of water Tube Wells is Rs 10 crore and after completion of this project, the long pending demands of shortage of drinking water especially in Summer season in the whole locality will be resolved.
He stressed upon the officers of executing agencies that quality of work and other building standards should be maintained while accomplishing these prestigious projects of public importance.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta former Deputy Chief Minister J&K also  hailed the efforts of JMC and Jal Shakti Department towards undertaking this development work for the convenience of the locals of Channi Himmat and its adjoining locality and urged upon the concerned to complete it within the stipulated time frame.
Vinay Gupta district president BJP Jammu, Neena Gupta Councilor of Ward No. 50, Ankit Gupta Social Media Head J&K BJP, Narinder Gupta (Koki) and other prominent inhabitants of Channi Himmat and its adjoining localities as well as engineers of Jal Shakti Department (Urban), Rajinder Kumar incharge Sanitation Officer along with concerned  supervisory staff of Health Section were also present during the occasion.
Besides this, Mayor in presence of Satpal Karlupia Councillor of Ward No. 32 also organized a public Darbar at Wand Wazira near Pouni Chak Jammu where people in large numbers as well as booth level workers of BJP from the Ward Number 32 participated and put forth their issues of public importance which mostly included construction, renovation of lanes and drains of leftover areas, installation of more LED street lights, deployment of extra Autos for door to door garbage collection as well as additional S.K.C’s in Ward as number of rural areas and villages have been included in Ward Number 32. Mayor listened to their issues with great patience and assured that all their genuine grievances will be sorted out on priority basis.
