JAMMU, July 5: Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta today kick started developmental works of laying tiles and construction of drains in Ward No 11, Malhotra Street under Stage Work Programme.
While speaking on the occasion, the Mayor stated that such developmental works shall be undertaken in each Ward of the Corporation so that there can be equal developmental of all the Wards of JMC.
The residents of the Ward present on the occasion assured that they will extend their helping hands to Jammu Municipal Corporation for maintaining proper sanitation facilities and also while undertaking any kind of developmental works in the Ward.
The Mayor further appealed the general public that JMC is trying its best to provide basic amenities to the residents of the Jammu city but for undertaking developmental works and maintaining better sanitation facilities, it is the duty of the residents to come forward and join hands with JMC.
Councillor of the Ward, Anita Sharma was also present on the occasion. She said that on completion, these developmental works will ease the sufferings of the residents. She also appealed the residents of her Ward to join hands with her for making the Ward an example for others.
Prominent residents of the Ward present on the occasion were Kanta Devi, Ashwani Sharma, Harish Arora, Rajinder, Sunita Devi, Priya Malhotra, Vijay Avril, Dwarka, Ramesh Sharma and many others.
