JAMMU, Aug 24: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta here today visited Govt Girls High School Rajpura Mangotrian in Ward 33 and took stock of the ongoing development works in the school.
Renu Manhas, Principal and other staff members were present there and they demanded proper sanitation in and around the school premises by deploying Safai Karamcharis on regular basis.
They also demanded cutting of China grass and drinking water facility in the school.
The Mayor assured that all the demands will be redressed on priority base.
He also directed the Engineering Wing of JMC to complete the ongoing construction work of bathroom, kitchen, office, store and other allied works at the school within stipulated time frame by applying best quality construction material and appeal to the Principal to plant more and more saplings in and around the school complex.
Concerned Sanitary Inspector along with other supervisory staff of Health Section of the Ward also accompanied the Mayor.
The Mayor also visited the localities of Subash Nagar extension area in Ward 39 and met locals of the area who demanded repair of lanes-drains in the locality. They further requested the Mayor to issue necessary directions to the Engineering section in this regard. Mayor promised that the genuine demands will be sorted out as soon as possible.
