Mayor starts construction work of community hall at Shiv Shakti Temple

JAMMU, Feb 26: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today kick started the construction work of community hall at Shiv Shakti Temple in Sector 1 Pamposh Colony Janipur in Ward Number 38.
On the occasion, Corporator Ward Number 38 Surinder Sharma, JL Bamzai, President Shiv Shakti Sanastha Pamposh Colony Janipur, SK Raina, Raveesh Mengi, Chander Chawla, TS Negi, General Secretary of the Sanstha JK Khar, BJ Majoo, Surinder Dhar, Lalit Luthra, AK Saproo Ex President of the Sanstha, Raj Kumar Bhan, Jitu Bhan and others.
The community hall is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 40 lakh.
Mayor said that the construction of community hall in the temple complex was the long pending demand of the people, which has been fulfilled. He informed that Corporator Surinder Sharma has put in efforts to get the amount sanctioned.
“It is my pleasure to inaugurate the construction work of the community hall in the temple complex. Now people can hold their religious or social functions in the hall for which they have to pay a lot to manage the space at other places”, Mayor added.
He also directed the concerned officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) present on the occasion to complete the project in time so that the people of the area get great benefit of this community hall.
“Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of great Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on the theme of ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikaas’ and is committed for the overall development of the areas of Jammu”, Mayor said, adding that no ward will be deprived of basic amenities and development of every citizen is our main motto. He said that many projects are in pipeline for Jammu which will change the face of the city.
Later, Mayor also met with the locals, listened to their general issues regarding proper sanitation, lifting of stray dogs and animals on routine basis, installation and rectification of LED street lights in the left over areas, construction of remaining lanes and drains in the Ward and other related matters. Mayor assured that all their genuine issues will be taken up on priority basis.
