JAMMU, Aug 23: To counter the increasing growth of mosquitoes in the city and to prevent the spread of deadly dengue, the Mayor Jammu, Rajinder Sharma on Wednesday started fogging process at many areas of the city.

Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said that as dengue spreading mosquitoes breed on clean water so such water at homes should be stored in covered vessels.
“Wherever for the water which can’t be covered, few drops of Kerosene should be poured over it as it stops breeding of mosquitoes,” he maintained adding that the people of Jammu should also use the services of door-to-door moving autos to collect garbage and they should avoid throwing garbage here and there as mosquitoes also breed on garbage.
The Mayor asked the public of Jammu to contact him in case of any help as the Urban Local Body is all prepared to help the people of Jammu round the clock.
Meanwhile, a three member team comprising Mohan Lal, Anti-Malaria Officer along with Ashok Kumar and Satish Kumar—both field workers have been formed for fogging to prevent dengue spread.
Today the fogging was done at New Plot, Ambphalla, Sarwal and Subash Nagar while tomorrow it will be held at Rehari Colony North, Rehari Colony South and Bakshi Nagar areas.
