JAMMU, May 3: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta today visited Gole, Talab Tillo, Panjpeer and Pounichak areas of Ward number-32.
Satpal Karlupia, Councillor of the Ward and other prominent citizens of the area were also present on the occasion.
The Mayor took stock of the various demands put-forth by the Councillor like deployment of more Safaikaramcharis, construction/renovation of lanes and drains, proper macadamization of roads, de-silting of various nallas well before rainy season, repairing/installation of street lights, lifting of stray animals, fogging to avoid spread of dengue and other communicable diseases.
The Mayor listened to the demands and directed officers to resolve the issues on priority basis.
He also visited Sathra Awaas School run by an organization especially for poor and needy children to provide free education and accommodations at Pounichak and met with staff and students of the school and directed the management to provide the healthy atmosphere for the children, plants more tress. He made a public appeal to not to throw garbage in lanes and drains, avoid using polythene and to cooperate JMC staff in making Jammu city neat, clean and green.
