JAMMU, May 16: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today visited Sainik Colony and its adjoining areas of Ward No.70 and interacted with inhabitants of Sainik Colony and listened to their grievances patiently.
Narinder Singh Councillor of Ward No.70 along with Arun Gupta Executive Engineer, JMC, Mohd. Taj Chowdhary Executive Engineer, (UEED), Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer JMC, officers of Electrical and Veterinary Section of JMC were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour. The concerned councillor as well as inhabitants of Sainik Colony told the Mayor that their Ward has been largely extended and there is urgent need of more SKC’s in the ward, Construction/Renovation of damaged/Kacha lanes & drains, installation of sufficient number of street lights, immediate construction & disilting of Nallahs flowing through their area, lifting of stray dogs/animals and blacktopping of damaged roads of Sainik Colony area.
Mayor assured the residents that all their demands will be sorted out and directed the officers accompanying him to resolve the issues raised by the councilor and inhabitants on war footing. He also appealed to public not to throw their household garbage, filth etc. in the public drains, lanes & Nallahs and cooperate with JMC staff to make Jammu city neat, Clean & green.
