KATHUA, Nov 7: Entire Maza Industry perished into devastating fire that broke into the factory at 2-30 am today. The factory is making mosquito coils.
Eight fire tenders which rushed to the spot from Kathua, Hiranagar  and Samba failed to control the blaze resulting into the destruction of entire industry and the raw material lying there as well as the mosquito coils which were ready to be supplied in market. They are still camping there to control the fire.
The estimated cost as per the Fire Services Department is said to be near Rs one crore. However the industry people term loss much higher. The impact of fire was so strong that the building housing the industry later crumbled down. The fire fighting operation continued up to the late hours of the day. The entire raw material lying in the factory as well as the mosquito coils which were ready to be supplied in the market were destroyed.
However the fire brigade managed to control fire from spreading to adjoining area.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained as it was dead of night and no body knows what was the actual cause of the fire?
