UDHAMPUR, Dec 6: Highlighting their demands, a protest demonstration by Mazdoor Dastkar Union was held here today under the leadership of district president Darshan Kumar, State vice president Bansi Lal Sharma and Lakhvinder Singh
They were demanding Labour Sarai (Guest House), Rs 3000 monthly pension to the Labours, Rs 25000 on the marriage of laborer children, Ayushman Scheme Golden card to all labours who have completed 60 years of the age, BPL ration to the BPL categories and free education to the kids of labour class by providing them books and uniforms.
While addressing the Union members, Darshan Kumar alleged that the Labour Department was not registering labour resulting they were not getting benefits of Government sponsored schemes.
Others who addressed the gathering, included Kewal Krishan, Ajay Kumar, Nek Ram, Kartar Chand, Chunni Lal and Om Prakash.
