UDHAMPUR, Jan 7: Mazdoor Dastkar Union held a protest here today under the chairmanship of district president Darshan Kumar at Vishwakarma Hall, Udhampur.
While addressing the protesters, Darshan Kumar alleged that the Labour Department has not given scholarship for the last one year to the children’s of registered labourers of Labour Department in the schools and colleges. The students were facing lot of problems. They are unable to meet their study related needs.
He demanded setting up of Labour Sarai, Rs 3000 monthly pension to the Labours and Rs 25000 assistance on the marriage of children of labour class.
