KATHUA, Nov 7: A large number of laborers, technical persons drawn from Mazdoor Union assembled in front of DC Office here, today and held a protest demonstration against district administration and Highway construction companies for not engaging them in construction works.
They raised the slogans in favor of their demands and against the construction companies.
While addressing Dilsher Singh, Nasir Chand, Raj Kumar and Krishan Kumar alleged that few months earlier they held protest and approached to district administration for placement of local youth in Super Highway construction works. Unfortunately the construction company did not engage the local youth as laborers, drivers, technical persons in the company as per law.
Despite the repeated requests, local youth are still unemployed and out of State persons were given the job which is injustice with locals. They warned to hold fast unto death in front of construction company office if the local youth were not engaged by the company. They also submitted a charter of demands to DC Kathua.
