MBS College organizes blood donation camp

JAMMU, Feb 25: Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu in collaboration with SMGS Hospital Jammu and J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society and Saksham Bharti Foundation sponsored by LG Electronics organized a blood donation camp at MBSCET, Jammu.
Dr. Rubina Kausar (BTO), Blood Bank, SMGS Hospital and her dedicated team of medical professionals carried out the proceedings of blood donation camp.
Sudhir Sethi, President J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society and his team played a vital role in making this event a success. Prof.(Dr.) Dinesh Kumar Gupta, Principal exhorted the participants to inculcate human values who also donated blood.
Dr. Amrik Singh Vice-Principal and Prof. Parveen Singh, Dean Academics and convener of the event also donated the blood. H.S.Gill Director Students Welfare made the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the blood donation camp. Ripu Daman Singh (Asst. Professor) head NSS unit and Satish Kumar Sharma (Assistant Professor) Nodal Officer Red Ribbon Club also made contribution in making this event a great success.
More than 64 units of blood were donated by the staff and the students for the noble cause. This initiative has been taken to raise awareness among the students and staffs of the college to encourage community participation in saving precious lives.
