MBWU demands revision of fare

JAMMU, Dec 20: Mini Bus Workers’ Union (MBWU), Jammu province has demanded the Government to immediately revise fares of all routes.
Addressing a meeting of the union here today, Anil Chopra, chairman of the union said that every month Oil Companies are increasing prices of diesel and petrol due to which transporters are suffering badly.
Chopra appealed the State Government to increase the fares of all vehicles and save the transport industry from downfall. He further demanded the Government to exempt the passenger tax and other burning problems of the transporters like parking and terminal point, as directed by J&K High Court.
The meeting among others was attended by Niranjan Singh, Jagater Singh, Vijay Singh Chib, Raj Kumar Choudhary, Jatinder Khajuria, Vikram Dogra, Naresh and Pupinder Singh.
