MC Kathua to construct 700 houses for houseless

KATHUA, Dec 27: The Municipal Council Kathua will construct nearly 700 houses for house less poor people under the Prime Minister’s Housing for All Scheme under the jurisdiction of Municipal Council Kathua.
The Municipal Council, Chairman, Naresh Kumar Sharma kick started the construction work of a house at Ward No 4, here, today . He was accompanied by Vice chairperson, Rekha Kumari and prominent citizen of Kathua on the occasion. The beneficiaries will get financial aid of Rs 1,66,000 under the Scheme Housing for All, said Naresh Kumar.
While addressing Naresh Kumar Sharma said that nearly 700 poor benefactress irrespective of their caste and creed will be benefited of this scheme. He said the construction work of nearly 50 houses has been started and some of them have so far been completed and the benefactress were also handed over the key of houses. He appealed the other benefactress to apply under the scheme. He added that those who have not any toilet will also be given the financial aid to construct a toilet under Swach Bharat Abiyan.
