SAMBA, Oct 9: Municipal Committee (MC) Vijapur and police today launched a joint anti-encroachment drive in Vijaypur market and removed illegal encroachments in the area.
The campaign was launched in main temple Gali, Ramgarh Road Market, Railway Road Market. The Municipal Committee officials and DySP, Lavkaran Taneja, Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra and other police officers jointly removed the illegally encroachment and goods kept on the pavements etc in the market.
Municipal president, Vijaypur, Deepak Kumar was also present on the occasion. The Municipal administration said that on the basis of the complaint of the people, the encroachment by the shopkeepers and others in the Vijaypur market has been removed today because of the daily jam on the Ramgarh road market. He said the assistance and support of the police administration was sought to remove the encroachments.
