UDHAMPUR, June 27: Sudershan Singh, Secretary, Municipal Committee, Chenani has been placed under suspension and attached with office of Assistant Commissioner Revenue for unauthorized absence from duty and leaving station without permission in contravention of circular instructions issued by General Administration Department. Assistant Commissioner Revenue has been pointed as inquiry officer for holding a probe in the matter.
The monitoring cell in DC office traced the location of officer in Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, through mobile coordinates. Accordingly SDM Chenani was deputed for inspection of office and verification. The officer was found absent and remained absent from duty since June 24, 2014. Accordingly the SDM intimated the information revealed from attendance register to the Deputy Commissioner.
DC Udhampur Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary placed the Secretary, Municipal Committee, under suspension for unauthorised absence from duty and proceeding to Srinagar without permission thereby neglecting the public services. Meanwhile, action has also been initiated against DFO Social Forestry and a BDO for unauthorised absence from meeting.
