MCC stresses on maintaining Hindu-Muslim brotherhood

JAMMU, Mar 2: A meeting of Muslim Coordination Committee (MCC), Jammu was held at Channi Himmat, wherein the speakers deliberated on the steps need to be taken for maintaining Hindu-Muslim brotherhood in Jammu.
This meeting was held under the chairmanship of committee headed Abdul Ghani Kohli and was attended by general secretary Aziz Qurashi and other prominent Muslim citizens of Jammu like Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed, Azad Hussain Shah and Haroon Choudhary.
The present scenario of Jammu was discussed on the issue of peace and communal harmony and unity among Hindu and Muslim. What course of action needs to be taken to prevent incidents like that happened in Gujjar Nagar recently, was also discussed. Most of the speakers pointed out that delay in action adopted by the administration results into some communal incidents.
It is also decided that a good gathering of Muslim community will be held shortly where some more members will be involved to carry out activities for Muslim-Hindu brotherhood. The problems faced by Gujjar Bakerwal community were also discussed and it was decided that steps will be taken for good coordination with one and all.
Among others present in the meeting were Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed, Advocate of High Court, Azaid Hussain Shah, Haroon Choudhary, president, State ST Morcha, Naseem Malik, Basharat Choudhary, Naseeb Ali, Bashir Ahmed and Janghir Choudhary.
