MD JPDCL holds meet on boosting PM Surya Ghar Scheme implementation

JAMMU, Sept 17: Ch. Mohd Yasin, Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL), convened a meeting with senior officers and PM Surya Ghar vendors to intensify the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
He asked the concerned Executive Engineers and Assistant Executive Engineers for timely completion of targets of RTS in their respective EDs set by the Chief Secretary.
The meeting was held to enhance coordination, address challenges, and ensure timely completion of targets. He further asked the Xens and AEEs to convert the applications on the portal into successful installations of RTS in their respective EDs.
During the meeting, Ch. Mohd Yasin emphasized the importance of quality installations, prompt grievance redressal, and seamless vendor management.
He also laid special emphasises on consumers who have selected vendors into successful RTS installation in shorter span of time and efficiently success conversion rate. The discussion also focused on streamlining processes to maximize the benefits of the scheme, providing free electricity to households through solar rooftop installations.
MD JPDCL emphasized for improving communication between stakeholders, including consumers, vendors, and DISCOM officials. He stressed upon resolving issues hindering the scheme’s progress and ensuring timely completion of targets.
The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced the grant of UT subsidy on PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with details including Rs 33,000 for 1 kW solar system, Rs 66,000 for 2 kW solar system, and Rs 85,800 for 3 kW solar system, along with additional UT subsidy of Rs 3000 for 1 KWp, Rs 6000 for 2 KWp and Rs 9000 for 3 KWp.
