JAMMU, July 5: Medanta- The Medicity Hospital Gurgaon organized a well attended CME on Cardiology in the City of Temples.
Sr Director-Interventional and Clinical Cardiology-Medanta Heart Institute, Dr Rajneesh Kapoor delivered lecture on the topic ‘Game Changer in Cardiology with Interactive case studies’.
The proceedings of technical session of CME were chaired by Dr Susheel Sharma, Prof and Head, Department of Cardiology, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu as chairperson while Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu (CUJ), attended the occasion as chief guest.
Prof Dr Ghanshyam Dev Gupta, Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu and Kiran Wattal, former Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), were the guests of honour while Prof and Dr KC Verma, senior Cardiologist of Jammu, graced the occasion as special invitee.
In his inaugural address, the chief guest while appreciating the initiative by Medanta– The Medicity stated that this will go a long way in sharing knowledge related to the subject.
“We should come forward with economical health treatment for this how the cost of health care services can be reduced in corporate hospitals and all stakeholders ought to think over this”, he suggested.
Dr Rajneesh Kapoor also prescribed some tips for a healthy heart even as he asked people of Valley and Jammu to “modify lifestyle” for longevity. In short, he said, prevention is the best answer to heart attacks even as he pitched the healthy mantras.
Prof Dr Ghanshyam Dev Gupta also stressed upon the need of corporate sector to setup an institute in Jammu and suggested PPP mode to take initiative with State Govt. Dr KC Verma also delivered the presentation on some complicated slides of patients managed by him.
The CME concluded with vote of thanks presented by Manmohan Singh, chairman, Care India Foundation Trust.
