Media persons too working like front line warriors: Balbir

JAMMU, Apr 18:  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu Kashmir, spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, in a statement, today said that when people are sitting in their homes following lockdown to remain free from the infection of deadly Corona Virus, the doctors, nurses, civic workers, policemen, are doing everything on their behalf for the betterment of the public and to prevent the spread of the Virus.
Balbir said they are being honoured as frontline warriors. It is a highly appreciable to honour them as they are the people who are engaged in the essential and much needed services by putting themselves at risk while staying away from own families.
He said that, similarly, media persons are also doing commendable job in the present circumstances. Reporters, cameramen are reaching every place and sending information about the situation to the people sitting in their homes, acquainting them with the guidelines given by the Government to fight Corona. People in their homes are reading newspapers, watching news on television, listening same on radio, without moving out, he added.
Balbir said the media persons are compiling accurate information about ground situation of their city and in the country, the latest updates related to the Corona across the country etc. While performing their duties, These people too are putting their lives at risk, he added.
He said “When we are honouring and praising doctors, health workers, sanitation workers, policemen for their work, media persons also deserve the similar appreciation and respect’’. In these days of difficult circumstances, their services should not be underestimated as they too are working like front line warriors, said Balbir.
