Medical camp dedicated to Ashok Sodhi organised

JAMMU, Nov 24: Indian System of Medicine J&K, Gandhi Global Family (GGF) and Green India Foundation today jointly organised 173rd COVID-19 medical cum awareness camp at Rajiv Nagar, Narwal Bala slums where AYUSH immunity boosting medicines were provided to locals of the area through the expert team of doctors, following guidelines issued by the administration.
The camp was dedicated to Late Ashok Sodhi, a local photo journalist who died in young age while covering a militant attack.
Ashwani Kumar, President, Press Club Jammu inaugurated the camp in the presence of local Panch, Gagan, Robert Robin Gill, Younis Mattoo, Rakesh Singh Bahu and Ravinder Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion Ashwani hailed ISM doctors and volunteers of GGF in mitigating the impact of pandemic in J&K.
A handout stated that over 650 people were attended in the camp by Dr. Shifali Sharma and Dr. Sukhpreet Kour and Nishat Khajuria, Pharmacist. Earlier, awareness on COVID-19 was also given by the team of ISM doctors.
GGF J&K president, Padmashri Dr S.P Varma expressed gratitude to Dr. Mohan Singh, Director ISM and Dr. Suresh Sharma, ADMO Jammu for deputing a team of doctors and providing free AYUSH medicines for boosting the immunity of the needy people.
He hailed the role of Younis Mattoo, Chairman Green India Foundation and his team for the successful conduct of the camp.
