Medical-cum-veterinary camp organized

SRINAGAR, Oct 7: A medical-cum-veterinary camp was organized today by the Army under ‘Sadhbhavana-XVIII’ at village Uthura in Baramulla.
This camp was organized in response to the constant request by the locals of the area for medical attention as they find it difficult to get medical cover, being a remote area.
A joint team of doctors from Army and civil administration, including lady doctors, nursing assistant and paramedics provided their services to more than 400 people including men, women and children, in the camp.
Besides this, about 500 livestock were also treated at the camp. A team comprising one veterinary doctor and two assistants was present to treat the livestock.
On the occasion, handouts on Himayat project launched by Government of India were also distributed and a lecture on ‘Health & Hygiene’ was conducted. Various stalls including a stall on HDFC Life as well as Stationery and agricultural products were also on display for the betterment of the locals.
