Medical employees highlight demands

RAMBAN, May 25: A meeting of district body of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) was held here today at Block Headquarters Gool, wherein the speakers highlighted their genuine demands.
The meeting, which was chaired by district president, JKMEF, Mohd Akhter Malik, highlighted various demands of the employees, which included timely DPC of all cadres, creation of posts of District Pharmacy Officers, risk allowance for non-gazetted employees of Health and Family Welfare Department, regularization of daily rated, contractual and consolidated workers and releasing regular salary to employees working under 2211 (FW).
The speakers also demanded removal of pay anomalies of all cadres, release of 10% DA due from January 2014 and immediate posting of BMO Gool on priority basis, which they alleged would be solution to 90% problems faced by employees of Gool Block.
Meanwhile, the participants unanimously elected office bearers of the Federation for Gool Block.
Mohd Shafi Mullah was elected as president, Rafiqa Begum as vice-president, Mohd Aslem Malik as secretary while Rashid Parihar was elected as cashier.
