Sir,
The write-up, as subscribed in this paper dated 19/3/2014 under the above cited subject, the author has rightly chosen and nicely elaborated the most burning and severe problem of elderly lot of population in the country. The factual position of the problem being faced by oldies is simply “unfortunate” as the suffering lot is left to the mercy of Almighty to face the outcome of age related ailments in absence of the needed monetary relief.
Over the past 66 years, an appreciable improvement has been achieved in health care/cure but the elderly populace of the country has remained un-heard and ignored owing to their misfortunes although upon their active service having been fully utilised, the same oldies lot has been the backbone and important factor of rapid progress and improvement in the country.
The suggestions put forth by the author are equally worth active and sympathetic considerations by one and all concerned, especially the political parties already in field for General election 2014, to include as sufficiently genuine agenda point in their election manifesto.
Union Health Ministry, as the 1st party to explore the means and measures to be undertaken for announcement of a land mark decision, can earn yet another flying feather to their caps.
Yours etc…
