JAMMU, June 14: Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization, Jammu sealed a medical shop at Trikuta Complex in Bus Stand area for selling banned drugs.
According to the reports, a team of District Special Branch Jammu and police stand Bus Stand apprehended one Deepak Kumar son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Bahu Fort, with Alprax tablets (a banned narcotic drug) which he was carrying without any prescription of a qualified medical practitioner.
On enquiry, it came to light that the medicines were purchased by him from Sanjay Medicos, Trikuta Complex, Bus Stand, Jammu. The matter was taken up with the Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization, Muthi, Jammu.
Based on the recommendations of SHO of police station Bus Stand, the Deputy Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization, Jammu issued the closing order of the medical shop until further orders. The order issued by the Deputy Controller was executed by the SHO police station Bus Stand, Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia on June 13, 2019.
