SRINAGAR , Sept 13: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has criticised the Government Medical College (GMC) head for organizing an “immoral and indecent” cultural show in the college “at a time when whole Kashmir is mourning innocent killings.”
President DAK, Dr Nisar-ul- Hassan, in a release, said organising cultural show has hurt the sentiments and emotions of the people of Kashmir. This is unfortunate that our own people are holding cultural shows at a time when whole Kashmir is mourning innocent killings.
“It is shocking that principal GMC had consented for this cultural show which was indecent and immoral. People on one hand are killed in cold blooded murder and on the other hand we are enjoying and cherishing these killings by singing and dancing,” the statement quoted Dr Hasan as saying.
Seeking an apology from the GMC Principal, Dr Hassan said: “our heads are in shame on seeing doctors celebrating musical shows, thus adding salt to the wounds of Kashmiris. The Principal GMC and other organizers own an explanation and apology to the nation.”
