JAMMU, Oct 19: A meeting of Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPC) governing council was held at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar which was presided over by president of IAPC national body, Dr. Sushma Bhatnagar, also HoD Palliative Care AIIMS, New Delhi.
The meeting was attended by all the governing council members from all over India.
The IAPC team also visited the venue of upcoming Inter national IAPCON (International Annual Conference of Indian Association of Palliative Care) to be held at AIIMS Jammu in collaboration with IAPC J&K Chapter.
This is the first international conference on Palliative Care to be held in J&K which is expected to be attended by more than 1500 delegates and faculty throughout the globe and it will boost the Palliative Care awareness and services in J&K.
The team was assisted by Dr. Rohit Lahori, president IAPC J&K chapter along with other members of IAPC J&K chapter.
All the arrangements of IAPCON were discussed along with other national issues of Palliative Care.
Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar under Directorate of Health Services Jammu was the first hospital in J&K to start Palliative Care services.
