‘Meeting with Bhagat Singh’ organized at CUJ

JAMMU, May 24: A programme ‘Meeting with Bhagat Singh’ was today organized with the assistance of Department of Hindi and other Indian Languages at Central University of Jammu (CUJ).
Convener of the programme and Chairman of Hindi and other Indian Languages Department, Prof. Rasal Singh welcomed the keynote speaker, Pradeep Deshwal and all the scholars and students of various departments.
Prof. Singh talked about the crucial role of Bhagat Singh in India’s Independence Movement and said that the youth of today should make Bhagat Singh as their role model.
Renowned nationalist poet and thinker, Pradeep Deshwal while speaking on the occasion mentioned about various life inspiring incidents of Bhagat Singh. Along with this, books written on Bhagat Singh and biopic (movies based on him) were also mentioned.
He also cited the articles of Bhagat Singh published in various magazines like ‘Matwala’ and ‘Kirti’ and explaining his ideology, he said, “You can kill a person but not his ideas.”
Deshwal also mentioned Bhagat Singh’s love and support for Hindi language and answered questions from the audience.
Research Scholar, Aman ‘Deep’ recited his poem on Bhagat Singh with a heroic tone.
The programme was successfully conducted and the vote of thanks was given by Dr. Vinay Kumar Shukla, Assistant Professor of Hindi and other Indian Languages Department.
Teachers of the Department-Dr. Shashank Shukla, Dr. Arvind Kumar Yadav, Dr. Ratnesh Kumar Yadav along with others were also present in the programme.
