UDHAMPUR, Aug 7: Social Welfare Department teams from Udhampur and Ramnagar organized a Mega Camp for pension holders at Panchayat Latti A and B of remote Dudu Sub Division today wherein, a large numer of pension holders took part to get their grievances addressed on the spot.
Organised on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, maximum number of pending files were cleared on the spot during day-long camp. Those files which remained incomplete, were forwarded to the concerned departments for further process. Besides, SWD officials, other concerned officers also attended the camp and provided on the spot certificates to the old aged, widows and handicapped/ disabled persons.
Public was made aware of various Central schemes. On this occasion Kasturi Lal Gupta, Sarpanch Latti- A expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, because on his directions a door- step camp was organized by the Social Welfare Department for the poor and needy pensioners of this very remote area of the district. He said that for the first time any such camp was organized to facilitate the people of remote area.
