RAJOURI, Mar 25: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Deepti Uppal today inaugurated 2nd mega employment fair at Kotranka.
This fair was organised on the theme of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and placement for unemployed youth under Udaan by the Department of Employment and Counseling Centre Rajouri under the supervision of Deputy Director Harbans Lal Sharma.
Reiterating the need of promoting self-employment, DDC emphasized on unemployed educated youth for utilizing the benefits of self-employment schemes started by State and the Central government and establish their own income generating units rather than seeking Government job.
DDC inspected the stalls and impressed upon the resource person to give detailed awareness to the intending youth about the viable and economically fruitful units so that the youth get motivated and reap the benefits of self-employment schemes.
ADDC Veer Jee Hangloo, while addressing the gathering reiterated the need of motivating the unemployed youth towards entrepreneurship to address the problem of unemployment in State.
Over 50 stalls were installed by all the line departments including Army to create awareness among educated youth about the various State and Centrally Sponsored schemes.
On the occasion, information about the benefits of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was also disseminated among the general public by means of nukkad natak and a scintillating cultural programme by school students.
Among others present were CEO Tourism Mushir Mirza, ACR Paramjeet Singh, SDM Sukhpal Singh, Chief Horticulture Officer Yogesh Kesar, Chief Agriculture Officer Sadaqat Ali, Munsiff Kotranka, Shafiq Choudhary, etc.
