JAMMU, May 16: A one- day comprehensive restorative dental and awareness camp was held at the Zonal Police Headquarter, CPO Complex, Panjtirthi here today.
Dr Azhar Malik (HOD) PG Dept of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, IGGDC Jammu in collaboration with Mukesh Singh ADGP Jammu zone organised the camp. More than 100 Police personnel were examined by the team of expert doctors comprising of Dr Azhar Malik, Dr Rachna Dhani, Dr Shamim Anjum, Dr Rudra Koul, Dr Ashish Chowdhary, Dr.Kanchan Bhagat and Post Graduate students under the guidance of Dr Parveen Akhtar Lone (In-charge Principal, IGGDC Jammu).
It was felt that the Police personals always have scarcity of time to go to hospital for dental procedures and thus this camp was held to deliver healthcare services at the doorsteps of the men in uniform and to make them aware about the merits of single visit root canal treatment.
Dr Rakesh K Gupta Principal and Dean IGGDC Jammu emphasized the importance and maintenance of oral hygiene. He said this camp is in continuation of the series of Dental Restorative Camps organised to encourage the overall health of public. The camp was coordinated by Dr Shamim Anjum, Incharge Dental Specialty Camp.
