NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today had a meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss over state’s security in which, she said, the Centre has assured her of full cooperation in dealing with the situation.
Addressing reporters, she said she was very much satisfied with her talks with the Home Minister and she was thankful to him for promising all kind of support to bring normalcy in the state.
Replying to a question she said, the state will continue to be governed by Article 370 of the Constitution, she pointed out that the President in his recent Ordinance had said the implementation of the Good and Services Tax (GST) in no way affected the framework provided by this Article.
The meeting comes in the wake of the recent Amarnath Yatra incident following which her government had come under attack for failing to ensure security to pilgrims. (agencies)
